Lauren is an associate attorney whose practice focuses exclusively on family law in California (San Francisco Bay Area). Lauren was drawn to family law because of the opportunity to support individuals and families during a challenging time.
Prior to joining Van Voorhis & Sosna LLP, Lauren served as a Legal Research Attorney for the San Francisco Unified Family Court, where she gained valuable insight into the complexities of family law proceedings and the judicial decision-making process. As a result of this experience, Lauren is well-versed in the legal and practical considerations that shape family law issues.
Lauren is a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh School of Law, where she was selected by faculty as the 2024 Distinguished Public Interest Scholar. During law school, Lauren worked at Neighborhood Legal Services representing survivors of domestic violence, served as a judicial intern with the Allegheny County Court of Common Pleas Family Division, externed with the Allegheny County Office of the Public Defender Juvenile Division, and interned with the Civil Rights Enforcement Section of the California Department of Justice.
Prior to law school, Lauren worked as a Child Advocacy Specialist at CASA of Travis County in Austin, Texas, and began her career advancing child anti-hunger initiatives for Feeding America.
Lauren was admitted to the California Bar in 2024 and is a member of the San Francisco Bar Association Family Law Section. Originally from Lancaster, Pennsylvania, Lauren especially enjoys listening to live music and hiking with her dog, Norm.
