Louise began her legal career in the UK, first as a court clerk, then as a paralegal in the capital markets and structured finance group of a leading offshore law firm, before deciding to pursue family law after being introduced to it while she was training to be an English solicitor.
Louise is a graduate of the University of Leicester (B.A. Politics), the University of Wales: Aberystwyth (MSc.Econ. International Relations), and Nottingham Law School (Post-Graduate Diploma, Law). She qualified as an English Solicitor in 2007 (currently non-practicing) and was admitted to the California Bar in 2010. She is a member of the San Francisco Bar Association, the Alameda Bar Association, and Collaborative Divorce Golden Gate Group.
Louise works with clients in litigation, mediation, collaborative law, and as consulting counsel. Her practice includes negotiating & preparing child custody and parenting plans, negotiating premarital and post marital agreements, negotiating and preparing pre-and post-marital agreements, and establishment and modification of child and spousal support orders. She represents clients in legal separation/dissolution matters, parentage cases, and high conflict child custody matters in San Francisco, Marin, Alameda, and Contra Costa counties.
